Course Introduction

Note: This course was taught live during the month of Ramadhan 2021. We are making the recordings of the full course available as an on demand course as we feel this course is an excellent introduction to important aspects of spirituality.

How much of the spirituality you gained in Ramadhan is left in you? The Prophet (saw) said, ‘The most beloved deeds to Allah (swt) are the ones carried out consistenly, even if they maybe little.’ (Al-Bukhari)

This Hadith is simple but extremely important for us to understand. We all our in the quest to make Allah (swt) happy. And to achieve that, we do extra deed. Yet, we often forget that Allah (swt) loves those deeds which we do conitnuously, even if they maybe a small deed.

One way to achieve consistency in our daily Ibadah is when we enjoy the deeds we do. and one way we can do this is by building on the spiritual side of our deeds. Study this course to learn how to build the spirituality of your Salah, fasting, Dhikr, Dua and many other deeds we do daily as muslims.

This short on demand course will cover the following:

(1) Spirituality of Salah

This session will focus on Khushu in Salah.

(2) Spirituality of Fasting

This session will focus on the spiritual dimension on fasting.

(3) Spirituality of Dhikr and Dua

This session will focus on recitation of the Quran remembrance of Allah and the spiritual dimensions of both.

(4) Developing Iman and Akhlaq

It often doesn’t occur to us, but Akhlaq (good character) is half of our spiritual essence. In this session we discuss its importance and key character traits that we must work on.
